Our 3D Imaging Helps You Make Decisions

At Dr. Amirlak’s practice, we’re big on seeing the future. Not in some fortuneteller way, but in the latest technology that allows our patients to see exactly what a possible procedure will look like, in three-dimensional images. The centerpiece of our technology is our Vectra 3D system. The Vectra 3D System can be used to help patients visualize the results of a variety of procedures with Dr. Amirlak — breast augmentation, body contouring, breast lift, chin augmentation, rhinoplasty, facelift, and neck lift — long before the surgery is even scheduled!
The process
During a consultation, our team will take a three-dimensional photo of the patient. From there, the Vectra software simulation goes to work, creating a 3D digital replication of what the patient will look like after surgery. The image can be viewed from any angle on the office computer system, and Dr. Amirlak can make adjustments as requested by the patient to view different options.
The Vectra 3D camera
To capture the patient’s 3D image, more than one image is needed. Using multiple cameras, the Vectra 3D technology takes some pictures simultaneously from several different points of view. These images are then merged to build a three dimensional virtual model of the patient. The Vectra system accurately recreates the patient before any procedure is performed.
Simulation is the key to seeing the future
From there the software in the Vectra system takes over. The software creates the “after” image of the patient, basing it on the specifics of the patient’s actual body taken in the 3D image. Once the parameters are entered — say, breast augmentation from an A to a C cup size — the software builds the simulation. But this initial simulation isn’t the end. At this point, Dr. Amirlak can use simulated sculpting tools to change the size, shape, and position of the treatment area. Depending on the procedure, facial features can be smoothed, tightened, and resized; breasts can be made larger, lifted, and shaped to the patient’s preference. This simulation can then guide Dr. Amirlak when he prepares for and performs the actual surgery.
Dr. Amirlak believes seeing the potential of a procedure in 3D is the key to his patients being more relaxed and confident heading into a given surgical procedure. Are you interested in seeing a potential new you in 3D? Call us at (214) 974-4948 to schedule your consultation.
